LATE ELEMENTARY

  • Time signatures limited to 4/4 and 3/4
  • Key signatures: C, F, & G + Am, Dm, Em
  • Rhythm: 8th note pairs, 2nd 8ths tied to long notes
  • RH melody + LH mostly whole notes

EARLY INTERMEDIATE

  • Time Signatures add Cut time & 6/8
  • Key signatures: C, F, G, D, E, A + Am, Dm, Em
  • Rhythm: off-beat pick-up notes, some 16th notes
  • RH melody; LH plays on beat of off-beat melody entrances
